yoga for emotional well-being

As it is for so many of us, depression and anxiety

have also been a part of my journey.

And, it was while receiving treatment at a clinic for anxiety and depression (some years after my initial yoga training) that a fellow patient asked me to share some yoga poses to help with relaxation and sleep. It proved to be the safest place to gain confidence in sharing yoga and to nurture my dream of teaching yoga, specifically for emotional well-being. Not because it can cure depression, or is an answer to all our questions, but because it can be one of a whole host of tools that can help us navigate the labyrinth that is anxiety and depression. Practicing yoga can offer us a little more room to breathe, to be with wherever we are at, to move gently, and to feel supported and held, connecting to our body's inner healing mechanism and allowing us to acknowledge and love ourselves just a little bit more.

I offer weekly classes for emotional well-being that include breath-

work, meditation, and carefully designed movement practices.
